The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued an official letter encouraging all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to actively promote the Swachhata-Hi-Seva (SHS) 2024 campaign. The SHS campaign, observed from 17th September to 1st October 2024, is focused on the theme “Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskaar Swachhata” (स्वभाव स्वच्छता – संस्कार स्वच्छता), which emphasizes the importance of cleanliness as a habit and value. The campaign will culminate in the celebration of Swachh Bharat Diwas on 2nd October 2024.
To further popularize the campaign, UGC has introduced two audio jingles, each lasting 45 seconds and 90 seconds, which have been specially designed to spread awareness about the SHS 2024 initiative. These jingles aim to inspire and engage students, faculty, and staff to actively participate in promoting cleanliness within their campuses and communities.

Call to Action for HEIs
UGC has called upon HEIs across the country to disseminate these audio jingles widely within their institutions to maximize outreach. Universities and colleges are encouraged to utilize their websites and social media platforms to promote the audio messages and ensure broad participation in the campaign.

The audio jingles can be accessed via the following Google Drive link or by scanning the QR code provided in the UGC letter.
Monitoring and Reporting
HEIs are requested to document and upload the actions taken as part of the SHS 2024 campaign on the University Activity Monitoring Portal (UAMP) of UGC, available at https://uamp.ugc.ac.in. This will allow the UGC to track participation and the impact of the campaign across institutions.
