Tamil Nadu, September 2024: The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has officially announced the schedule for the quarterly examinations for all schools across the state. According to the department’s statement, the exams will take place from September 19th to September 27th, 2024.
Following the examinations, students will enjoy a five-day quarterly vacation from 28th September (Saturday) to 2nd October (Wednesday). Classes are scheduled to resume on 3rd October 2024 (Thursday), marking the end of the holiday period.
However, an important update has come from School Education Minister Anbil Mahes Poiyamozhi, who hinted at a possible extension of the holiday period. While he confirmed that the (Quarterly) holidays would proceed as per the initial notification, he also stated that any decision regarding an extension would be made by the department after further review.
Given the minister’s remarks, students, parents, and schools are advised to stay alert as a notification regarding the potential extension is expected to be released today.
