ADVT. 03/2024: NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL), a joint venture between two Maharatna companies NTPC Limited and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has announced recruitment for Diploma Trainees and Lab Assistant Trainees. Qualification Criteria

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will undergo a two-stage online test:

  1. Aptitude Test (50 Questions):
    • General English
    • Quantitative Aptitude
    • Reasoning Ability
  2. Technical Knowledge Test (70 Questions):
    • Discipline-specific questions based on the candidate’s educational background (Electrical, Mechanical, C&I, or Chemistry).

The total marks will be 120, with each correct answer carrying 1 mark. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. The following table provides details about the minimum qualifying marks:

Training, Emoluments, and Placement

Selected candidates will undergo a one-year training program at any of NSPCL’s project sites. During this period, trainees will receive a stipend of ₹24,000 per month. Upon successful completion of the training, they will be absorbed into the W7 grade pay scale starting from ₹24,000 with 3% annual increments.

Service Agreement Bond

To ensure continuity of service, selected candidates will need to execute a service agreement bond. The bond amounts are:

  • ₹1,00,000 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates.
  • ₹50,000 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

Candidates must serve the company for a minimum of 3 years after completing the training.

Health Standards
