The CBSE Science Exhibition provides a platform for students to showcase their creativity and scientific skills through research-based projects. The event will be held at Regional and National levels from October to December 2024 .

Theme and Sub-Themes
This year, the central theme of the exhibition is “Science and Technology for Sustainable Future.” Students are encouraged to develop innovative projects that align with the following sub-themes:
- Food, Health & Hygiene: Projects related to nutritional science, food preservation, and public health innovations.
- Transport and Communication: Innovative models focusing on sustainable transportation, green logistics, and modern communication methods.
- Natural Farming: Exploring sustainable agricultural practices, organic farming techniques, and natural resource management.
- Disaster Management: Solutions for disaster prediction, preparedness, and mitigation in both urban and rural settings.
- Mathematical Modelling and Computational Thinking: Using mathematics and computational strategies to solve real-world problems.
- Waste Management: Techniques for recycling, waste reduction, and the creation of eco-friendly materials.
- Resource Management: Conservation and efficient use of natural resources, including water, minerals, and energy.
Guidelines for Participation
Eligibility
- Categories: The exhibition is open to students of classes 6-11 , divided into two categories:
- Category I: Classes 6-8
- Category II: Classes 9-11
- Team Composition: Each school can register a maximum of two teams , each consisting of up to two students and one mentor teacher .
Registration Process
- Schools must register online through the CBSE Science Exhibition Portal by 21st September 2024.
- The registration fee is Rs. 3000/- per team for both Indian and foreign schools.
- Once registered, the project details, including title, description, materials used, and visuals, must be submitted online.
Evaluation Criteria
Projects will be assessed based on the following criteria:
- Creativity and Imagination: 20%
- Originality and Innovativeness: 15%
- Scientific Thought/Principle: 15%
- Technical Skills and Workmanship: 15%
- Educational Value and Societal Impact: 15%
- Economics, Portability, and Durability: 10%
- Presentation: 10%
