Joint CSIR UGC NET 2024 Starts Now: Key Checklist for the Exam Starting Today

Today, July 25, 2024, is the start of the CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam, which is organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam will run from today until July 27, 2024. It is very important for candidates to know the exam schedule, rules, and what documents they need to bring to make the exam process go smoothly.

CSIR UGC NET 2024: Exam Schedule and Timing

The CSIR UGC NET 2024 will be conducted in two shifts each day:

For today, July 25:

• Morning Shift: Exams for Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences; Physical Sciences.
• Afternoon Shift: Exam for Mathematical Sciences.

On July 26, the Life Sciences paper will be held in:

On July 27, the Chemical Sciences paper will be held in the morning shift.

Admit Card Download and Important Documents

Candidates should download their admit cards from the official CSIR NET website: csirnet.nta.ac.in. They must bring these documents to the exam center:

• Printed Admit Card: Make sure it is easy to read and clear.
• Passport Size Photograph: Same as the one submitted with the application form.
• Authorized Government Photo ID: Includes school ID, PAN card, driving license, voter ID, passport, Aadhar card, Aadhar enrolment number, or ration card.
• PwD Certificate (if applicable): Required for candidates with disabilities.

Exam Day Guidelines

1. Arrival Time: Candidates must reach the examination center at least 30 minutes before their designated shift begins.
2. Permitted Items: Only essential documents should be brought into the exam hall. Personal belongings or materials not listed as permitted will not be allowed.
3. Compliance with Rules: Adherence to all instructions provided on the admit card is mandatory.
4. Conduct During Exam: Candidates are not allowed to leave their seat or the examination hall without the invigilator’s permission. Compliance with all exam protocols is required.
5. Unfair Practices: Any involvement in unfair practices will result in severe consequences, including a ban from future exams for up to three years.

Exam Format and Content

The CSIR UGC NET 2024 will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into three parts:

• Part ‘A’: General Aptitude – Assessing basic logical and analytical skills.
• Part ‘B’: Subject-Related MCQs – Covering specific knowledge in the candidate’s chosen field.
• Part ‘C’: Scientific Concepts – Testing understanding of fundamental scientific principles.

Candidates may choose to take the exam in either English or Hindi , as selected during registration.
