Pondicherry University Recruitment 2024 Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates applying for this position must possess a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in MBA (Tourism and Travel Management), Tourism Management, or Tourism Administration from a recognized university. In addition to the academic qualifications, candidates must have qualified the UGC-NET in Tourism/Management or hold a Ph.D. as per the UGC’s Minimum Standards and Procedures for the Award of Ph.D. Degree Regulations, 2009.
Preference will be given to applicants with prior teaching or industry experience in tourism-related fields. Candidates will also benefit from the UGC’s relaxation norms, which apply as per university regulations.
Remuneration and Tenure
The appointed guest faculty will receive an honorarium of ₹1,500 per lecture, subject to a maximum of ₹50,000 per month. This engagement will remain valid until the appointment of regular faculty or the end of the academic year, whichever occurs first.
Furthermore, candidates who are receiving scholarships or fellowships will not be eligible for this position, as per the terms of the university.
