The Bank of Baroda , one of India’s largest public sector banks, has announced a recruitment drive for Business Correspondent (BC) Supervisors on a contract basis . The positions are available in the Sabarkantha Region of Gujarat and are aimed at engaging experienced banking professionals as well as young graduates with relevant qualifications to monitor and manage the activities of Business Correspondents (BCs) in rural and semi-urban areas. This recruitment plays a vital role in supporting the bank’s financial inclusion initiatives by ensuring efficient banking services reach underserved areas.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Retired Bank Employees:

  • Retired officers of any PSU bank, up to the rank of Chief Manager.
  • Retired clerks of Bank of Baroda with JAIIB certification and a good track record.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of rural banking experience.
  • Maximum age limit for continuation: 65 years.

For Young Candidates:

  • Graduate degree with knowledge of computers (MS Office, email, Internet, etc.).
  • Preferred qualifications: M.Sc. (IT), BE (IT), MCA, MBA.
  • Age group: 21-45 years at the time of appointment.
  • Maximum age for continuation: 65 years.

Roles and Responsibilities of BC Supervisors:

  • Monitoring: BC Supervisors will oversee the functioning of Business Correspondents (BCs) in rural areas, ensuring that banking services are accessible to villages, urban communities, and other designated areas.
  • Customer Support: Address and resolve customer grievances related to BCs, and provide feedback to the Regional Office.
  • Field Visits: Regular visits to BC points and villages at least once every 15 days, submitting reports to the FI coordinators.
  • Promoting Banking Services: Organize meetings and financial literacy sessions in villages and communities to encourage the use of banking services.
  • Target Monitoring: Supervisors will set and monitor business targets for BCs, ensuring their performance aligns with bank guidelines.
  • Reporting: BC Supervisors are responsible for submitting regular reports on BC activities and performance to the Regional Office.

Remuneration:
