HSSC Constable Selection Procedure 2024
For Hassas Police Constable, male and female candidates will have to go through 4 stages of recruitment, information about which you can get from the points given below.
- Qualifying Test: Under the first stage, merit list will be released on the basis of scored marks of higher qualification of the candidates and on the basis of intermediate marks, applications will be invited for PMT and PST stage.
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT): After the Common Eligibility Test, candidates will have to participate in the Physical Measurement Test in which their body will be measured as per the prescribed standards.
- Physical Screening Test (PMT): After the measurement stage, candidates will be called for physical screening test in which the physical strength of the candidates will be analyzed.
- Knowledge Test: Finally, the shortlisted candidates will have to participate in the written test where their knowledge will be assessed.

After the qualifying test, the candidates will participate in the physical test, the details of which are as follows.
PMT: In Physical Test, the first shortlisted candidates will have to go through Physical Measurement Test (PMT). Under this, the height, weight, chest size etc. of the male and female candidates will be mapped and if the measurement matches the prescribed standard, then the candidate will be considered eligible for the next round. There are different physical measurement criteria for men and women which are as follows. PMT Criteria also depends on the category of the candidates as to which category he/she belongs to.

After qualifying in Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test, shortlisted candidates will have to go through Knowledge Test (Written Test) in which the examination pattern is written in various points given below. The weightage of the test in HSSC Police Constable Recruitment is 94.5%.
- HSSC Constable Question paper contains multiple choice questions (objective type).
- Examination medium will be both English and Hindi i.e. bilingual.
- Every question will carry equal marks.
- Contenders of General category must score at least 50% marks to qualify the exam.
- The qualifying criteria for Other Category (SC/ST/OBC) has been kept at 40%.
- Candidates will be given 105 minutes to solve the question paper.
- There is no negative-marking for false answers.
- There will be sum of 100 questions in the exam.
- Each question will carry 0.945 points.
- Exam will organize offline (OMR Based).
- Each question will be given 5 options out of which one correct answer will have to be ticked.
