Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the posts of Nursing Officer (Staff Nurse):
- Educational Qualification:
- General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Telangana Nursing Council is mandatory and must be updated before applying.

- 2.5 points for every 6 months of service in tribal areas.
- 2 points for every 6 months of service in non-tribal areas.
